UP’s ₹8,585 Crore Express Link to Jewar Airport

Strengthening western Uttar Pradesh's infrastructure network, the state Cabinet on August 4, 2026, approved the construction of the Rs 8,585.51-crore Jewar Link Expressway. Chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the meeting cleared the 74.467-km, six-lane access-controlled greenfield corridor—designed for potential eight-lane expansion—to be executed on an EPC basis. Connecting Noida International Airport at Jewar to the Ganga Expressway via Bulandshahr, the project will serve as a vital economic link for Ghaziabad and nearby hubs. To further streamline regional infrastructure, the Cabinet also sanctioned the creation of the Prayagraj-Chitrakoot Kshetriya Vikas Pradhikaran to manage coordinated urban expansion across six key districts.
