Unitec Ties the Knot with NRB for CRB Manufacturing

NRB Bearings, a leading manufacturer of cylindrical and needle roller bearings, has formed a joint venture (JV) with Italy’s Unitec Group to strengthen its industrial cylindrical roller bearings (CRB) portfolio.

The collaboration aims to accelerate growth across industrial, off-highway, and emerging technology sectors. As part of the agreement, the companies will establish a state-of-the-art, LEED-certified manufacturing facility in Uppal, Hyderabad, dedicated to CRB production. NRB will oversee manufacturing operations, while Unitec will contribute key technical and operational expertise and has committed to purchasing 20% of the JV’s annual output. Additionally, both companies will exclusively market each other’s products in their home countries.

Harshbeena Zaveri, Managing Director of NRB Bearings, said, “This joint venture marks a strategic step in the expansion of our industrial bearings portfolio both in India and internationally.”
