Track to Tomorrow: SCR’s ₹27,342 Crore Infrastructure Blitz

The South Central Railway (SCR) has accelerated work on 18 major infrastructure projects across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, covering a total length of 1,763.26 km at an estimated cost of ₹27,342.44 crore.

The projects include new railway lines, doubling and tripling works, and large-scale capacity augmentation. Among the key developments is the recently sanctioned fourth line on the Secunderabad–Wadi section, along with a 173.40 km third-line expansion costing ₹5,012 crore. One of the largest undertakings, the Mudkhed–Dhone line, spans 417.88 km with an investment of ₹4,686.09 crore. Another major project is the 173.61 km line between Pandurangapuram, being developed at a cost of ₹3,591.76 crore. Meanwhile, the 219.64 km Kazipet–Vijayawada third line is nearing completion, with ₹3,103.99 crore allocated.

Additional projects include the Kazipet–Balharshah third line, estimated at ₹2,909.89 crore, and the 151.36 km Manoharabad–Kothapalli line. The Bibinagar–Guntur and Motumari–Vishnupuram double-line projects are also progressing, with land acquisition currently underway.
