Torrent Power Secures 300 MW Wind Project

Torrent Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. (TGEPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Torrent Power, has emerged as the successful bidder for a 300 MW wind power project under Wind Tranche-XVIII, following a competitive bidding process. The company received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on June 11, 2025.

The project is slated for commissioning within 24 months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and will operate at a tariff of Rs 3.97 per unit. The estimated investment for the project is approximately Rs 2,650 crore.

With this addition, Torrent’s total renewable capacity under development will rise to 3.3 GWp, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and contributing to India’s goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

Torrent continues to strengthen its green energy portfolio through a balanced mix of wind and solar projects, while also exploring advanced clean energy technologies such as pumped hydro and green hydrogen.
