The Government of Tamil Nadu Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, has approved a comprehensive incentives package for 46 new and expansion projects across the state. The initiatives represent a total committed investment of ₹31,592 crore and are expected to generate approximately 61,521 employment opportunities, according to an official release.
The projects will be implemented across key industrial districts, including Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Namakkal, Perambalur, Theni, Dindigul, Karur, Tiruppur, Salem, Coimbatore, and Thoothukudi.
Key investments highlighted include:
Sakthi Aircraft Industry – Establishment of a training aircraft component assembly and maintenance facility
Dixon Technologies and SFO Technologies – Electronics manufacturing units
Vikram Solar – Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assembly unit
Schneider Electric – Refrigeration equipment manufacturing facility
Bharat Biotech – Life sciences products park
Caterpillar Inc. – Construction machinery and equipment manufacturing
Boeing – Advanced aerospace research and development centre
Saint-Gobain – Glass products manufacturing facility
Spanning sectors such as aerospace, electronics, renewable energy, life sciences, heavy engineering, and advanced manufacturing, these approvals signal a substantial boost to Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth trajectory and employment landscape.
