The Government of Andhra Pradesh and RMZ Group have entered into a strategic investment partnership to develop large-scale mixed-use, digital, and industrial infrastructure across the state.
Announced during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, the partnership entails an investment of USD 10 billion over the next five to six years. The proposed projects are expected to generate around one lakh jobs, particularly in the IT, data centre, and logistics sectors. A government spokesperson said the collaboration aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s vision of positioning Visakhapatnam as a next-generation digital hub while accelerating industrial development in the Rayalaseema region.
Under the initiative, RMZ Group will develop a 50-acre IT park in Visakhapatnam, along with a hyperscale data centre cluster with a capacity of 1 gigawatt. The developments will emphasise sustainability by integrating green energy solutions and supporting advanced digital and AI-driven workloads to fuel long-term growth.
