Telangana’s USD 30 Billion AI & Cloud Revolution

Telangana aims to scale its data centre capacity to 5 GW by 2029, projected to unlock USD 30 billion in AI and digital infrastructure investments. Supported by industry leaders like Microsoft, AWS, and NTT DATA—which currently contribute to over 2.5 GW of operational and pipeline capacity—the state is engineering its upcoming infrastructure specifically for AI-scale computing. Highlighting this trajectory, Microsoft recently inaugurated its South Central Cloud Region in Hyderabad as part of a massive USD 20.5 billion regional expansion, cementing Hyderabad's position as a core hub for India's digital transformation.
