Telangana Rising 2047: Building the Future of Rural India

The Telangana government has unveiled a comprehensive rural mobility strategy under its Telangana Rising 2047 vision, aimed at enhancing rural connectivity and accelerating economic development across the state.

The plan proposes two major corridors: the 770-km Praja Valayam rural ring road and the 1,150-km Telangana Maniharam, both designed within a radio-centric grid to strengthen linkages between rural, urban, and semi-urban regions. Developed under the Rural Agriculture Region Economy (RARE) model, the strategy also envisions a regional rapid transit system and cross-state routes, including the North–South and East–West corridors, which will integrate with the Praja Valayam to ensure seamless rural-urban mobility.

The initiative is expected to spur growth in food processing, attract new investments, and generate employment opportunities in rural areas. As part of this vision, the government also plans significant upgrades to the state’s road infrastructure, including major highways and district roads, to support long-term economic expansion.
