The West Bengal government has approved the allotment of 20 acres of land at Bengal Silicon Valley in Kolkata for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to develop a major office campus. The project is projected to create 25,000 direct jobs upon completion.
In Phase I, TCS will construct 9 lakh sq. ft. of built-up space, including an 11-storey office tower designed to accommodate 5,000 employees. Phase II will add another 15 lakh sq. ft., generating an additional 20,000 employment opportunities. The total development will cover 24 lakh sq. ft.
This development comes shortly after the Andhra Pradesh government allotted 21.16 acres of land to TCS in Visakhapatnam for a nominal cost of ₹0.99, underscoring the company's ongoing expansion across key Indian cities.
