Tata Power: 752 MW Solar Strong in Q1 FY26

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company, commissioned a record 752 MW of solar projects in Q1 FY26—a 112% increase from 354 MW in Q1 FY25.

This milestone was achieved through advanced engineering, a resilient supply chain, agile project execution, and strong vendor partnerships that ensured cost efficiency and timely delivery, even under challenging conditions. With these additions, TPREL’s total operational utility-scale capacity has reached 5.6 GW, comprising 4.6 GW of solar and 1 GW of wind energy.

For FY26, the company plans to commission an additional 1.7 GW of utility-owned projects and 1 GW of third-party projects. By year-end, Tata Power aims to achieve a total renewable operational capacity of 7.3 GW—5.6 GW from solar and 1.7 GW from wind.

These developments reinforce Tata Power’s commitment to advancing India’s clean energy transition and enhancing the nation’s energy security and sustainability efforts.
