Tamil Nadu Eyes ₹15,050 Crore Foreign Investment Boost

Tamil Nadu is set to secure approximately ₹15,050 crore ($1.58 billion) in foreign investment through agreements for over a dozen new overseas projects, according to a recent government source.

These deals form a key part of a larger initiative featuring 97 total pacts, which represent a combined investment commitment of ₹67,452 crore and are projected to generate over 100,000 jobs across the state. This comprehensive investment figure also incorporates commitments from domestic Indian companies and expansions at existing facilities.

The agreements mark a major milestone as the first investment conclave held under the administration of Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, who assumed office in May with a primary focus on driving industrial growth and expanding business activity throughout Tamil Nadu.
