Tamara's Rs 600 Crore Vision: Scaling to 40 Hotels by 2030 Debt-Free

Aiming to quadruple its footprint, hospitality firm Tamara Leisure Experiences is rolling out an ambitious growth strategy backed by a Rs 600 crore investment over the next five years. Funded entirely through promoter capital to keep the group debt-free, the plan will expand the company's portfolio from 9 properties to 40 hotels and nearly 3,000 rooms by 2030.

A cornerstone of this growth is Rae by Tamara, a specialized faith-based hospitality brand tailored for pilgrims. The brand will feature owned locations in spiritual destinations like Guruvayur alongside management agreements in holy towns such as Tirupati, Tiruvannamalai, and Palani.

Simultaneously, Tamara is diversifying its mainstream offerings with distinctive experiential properties—including a 200-room urban hotel in Bengaluru, a farm resort in Hosur, a wildlife retreat in Kaziranga, a heritage stay in Bodh Gaya, an eco-friendly solar-powered houseboat resort in Alappuzha, and a dedicated wedding venue in Madurai—utilizing a balanced mix of owned assets and management contracts.
