Taj Expansion: New Luxury Hotel in Pondicherry

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Taj hotel in Pondicherry, marking a major expansion of the brand in the region.

The greenfield project, located on the outskirts of White Town, will span 52 acres and feature 180 rooms. Designed to meet the growing demand for large-scale social and corporate events, the property will include multiple dining options, such as an all-day restaurant, two specialty restaurants, and a lounge. It will also house the largest indoor banquet hall in the region, covering 10,700 sq. ft.

This development comes on the heels of Hilton’s expansion in Chennai, highlighting the rapid growth of the hospitality sector in South India.
