Solar + Storage: ACME’s ₹3,000 Cr Power Play in Andhra Pradesh

ACME Group’s 400 MW solar power project in Andhra Pradesh, integrated with battery energy storage, has progressed rapidly from state-level approvals to the construction phase within just four months.

Valued at ₹3,000 crore, the project is being developed under the Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) framework. It combines large-scale solar generation with battery storage to ensure reliable, round-the-clock renewable power. Scheduled for commissioning by 2026, the project is expected to strengthen grid stability and significantly enhance Andhra Pradesh’s clean energy capacity, supporting India’s broader energy transition goals.

Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, highlighted the swift progress, noting that the project moved from approval to on-ground execution in record time. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to renewable energy, energy storage, and green manufacturing, crediting its responsive single-desk clearance system for accelerating such investments.
