Sigma Advanced Systems Opens Sri City Aerospace Facility

Sigma Advanced Systems has officially launched active manufacturing operations at its newly established aerospace facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, achieving this milestone just eight months following the initial groundbreaking ceremony.

Structured to function as an integrated cross-border manufacturing hub, the plant mirrors the high-precision machining standards established by the company's United Kingdom subsidiaries to aggressively target international export markets. Initial operations for Phase 1 span 75,000 square feet inside a broader master-planned campus, opening with a foundational output capacity of 100,000 annual machining hours (AMH) that is scheduled to scale alongside future operational expansion.

Supporting this growth is a robust consolidated order backlog exceeding Rs 8,000 crore, where international agreements drive more than 90 percent of the total pipeline. Parallel to the launch of manufacturing, the company has commenced preliminary source-change approval processes with Rolls-Royce Aerospace. This swift greenfield development underscores corporate momentum toward scaling advanced aerospace production capabilities and strengthening export-driven manufacturing frameworks in India.
