Sharp x Amber: Powering Up India's Local AC Manufacturing

Sharp Business Systems (India) has partnered with Amber Enterprises India to locally manufacture air conditioners, marking a significant step in its expansion strategy in the country.

This strategic collaboration aims to capture 2–3% of India’s rapidly growing air conditioner market, which has already surpassed annual sales of one crore units. Over the next five years, Sharp plans to broaden its product portfolio while strengthening its distribution network nationwide.

Production is set to begin in March 2026 at Amber’s manufacturing facilities in Dehradun and Sri City, with a target to scale output to 5 lakh units within three years. This initiative aligns with Sharp’s long-term vision for India, one of the fastest-growing air conditioner markets globally.

In the next phase, Sharp intends to introduce a wider range of offerings, including window ACs, split ACs, and commercial cooling solutions. The partnership reinforces Sharp’s commitment to expanding its footprint in India’s rapidly growing cooling appliance market.
