Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, is set to establish a 500,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility for its IT Business at Horizon Industrial Park near Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu. The project, developed in two phases in collaboration with Horizon Industrial Parks (backed by Blackstone Real Estate funds), aims to boost production capacity and operational efficiency while supporting the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Phase one will feature a dust-free unit, advanced fire safety systems, modern office spaces, and infrastructure upgrades designed to generate approximately 1,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities. Phase two will include a customized, high-spec facility scheduled for completion within seven months.
“This collaboration underscores our commitment to sustainability, efficiency, and operational excellence,” said Deepak Sharma, Zone President – Greater India, MD & CEO, Schneider Electric India.
The facility will be located within a ‘Platinum’-certified green industrial park and will incorporate eco-friendly features such as rooftop solar panels, skylights, HVAC controls, EV charging stations, and smart lighting systems. These sustainable design elements will enhance energy efficiency and minimize the facility’s carbon footprint.
Horizon Industrial Parks, managed by Blackstone, oversees 40 assets across 2,000 acres and 50 million sq. ft., delivering customized warehousing and industrial solutions to accelerate the growth of India’s manufacturing and logistics ecosystem.
