Sambalpur Soars: ₹288 Crore Boost for Flyover Project

The Ministry of Railways has greenlit an impressive ₹288.61 crore for a pivotal flyover project in Sambalpur, Odisha. This significant infrastructure upgrade aims to enhance the efficiency of train operations and alleviate local traffic congestion. The new flyover will connect Sambalpur Station with Sambalpur City Station, extending over 8.10 kilometers.

The flyover is set to revolutionize train movements, allowing for smoother transit in all directions. This will notably benefit routes leading to Titilagarh, Angul, and Jharsuguda, improving overall train speeds and operational efficiency in the region.

The ambitious project aligns with the Indian Railways' Energy Corridor initiative, reflecting a strong commitment to modern, sustainable infrastructure. By facilitating better connectivity, the flyover is expected to support both local and long-distance train services.
