SAEL: ₹22,000 Cr Power Play in Andhra Pradesh

SAEL Industries has announced plans to invest ₹22,000 crore across multiple sectors in Andhra Pradesh, marking a major step toward advancing the state’s clean energy and industrial development.

The investment, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, will focus on renewable energy, biomass, data centres, and port infrastructure. Key projects include over 1,750 MW of solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Kadapa and Kurnool, a 200 MW biomass initiative, a ₹3,000-crore hyperscale data centre, and a ₹4,000-crore port development project aimed at improving logistics and export efficiency.

These initiatives are expected to generate around 7,000 direct and 70,000 indirect employment opportunities, further bolstering the state’s economic growth.

Having already commissioned 600 MW of capacity within nine months, SAEL Industries is poised to expand its clean energy footprint and play a pivotal role in Andhra Pradesh’s sustainable development journey.
