RUMSL Greenlights ₹3,400 Cr Solar-Storage Mega Projects

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has issued Letters of Award (LoA) to Ceigall India and ACME Solar for the development of 220 MW each of solar-plus-storage capacity in Morena, Madhya Pradesh.

The projects are designed to supply up to four hours of peak power daily, with an estimated capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 35 per cent. Construction is slated to commence in 2026, with commercial operations expected between 2027 and 2028. Ceigall India secured its project through a tariff-based competitive bidding process, quoting a tariff of ₹2.70 per kWh, with the overall project value estimated at ₹1,700 crore. The contracts stipulate a 24-month construction timeline and a 25-year operational period.

Under the arrangement, RUMSL will facilitate land allocation and provide evacuation infrastructure. The projects will also benefit from concessional GST rates and compliance with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) norms.
