The Haryana government has approved the long-awaited Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway, a 56-km, six-lane corridor connecting Faridabad in Haryana with Noida and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
Initially proposed by the Noida Authority, the project had only progressed in Uttar Pradesh, while Haryana's approval was pending. A key feature of the expressway is a 600-meter bridge over the Yamuna near Lalpur village, with construction costs shared equally between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Both state governments have formulated a joint strategy to enhance regional connectivity.
With an estimated cost of ₹633 crore, the expressway is set for completion by 2027. It will include multi-level interchanges, flyovers, and paved shoulders for emergencies. Officials state that the FNG Expressway will significantly improve travel efficiency and boost regional infrastructure.
