North Eastern Railway has invited bids for a major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the Khalilabad–Bahraich new broad gauge railway line project.
The contract includes civil engineering, railway electrification, and signalling and telecommunication works for the Ikauna–Bahraich section of the proposed rail corridor. The stretch extends from Ikauna at chainage 173+400 to Bahraich at chainage 240+909, covering a total length of 67.509 km.
The estimated project cost is ₹1,209.77 crore, with a completion timeline of 30 months. The scope of work includes construction of a new single broad gauge (BG) railway line along with associated civil infrastructure, railway electrification systems, and modern signalling and telecom facilities to support safe and efficient rail operations.
Interested bidders can submit their proposals until 02 September 2026.
