The Road Construction Department of Bihar has released a tender for the widening and strengthening of State Highway 65 (SH-65), upgrading it to a two-lane road with paved shoulders.
The project covers a 35.10 km stretch, from chainage 5+600 at Banbhag Chowk to 40+700 at Bishanpur Dharmkanta, with a contract value of ₹101.77 crore. This infrastructure enhancement aims to improve traffic capacity, road safety, and driving conditions.
The upgraded SH-65 corridor is expected to play a vital role in enhancing regional connectivity and stimulating local economic growth in and around Purnea.
Bid submissions are open until 09 June 2025.
