Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd (ROHL), one of India’s leading hospitality chains, has announced the signing of a new upscale hotel in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, strategically located near Gwalior Airport.
The signing forms part of ROHL’s expansion strategy in Central India, with a focus on strengthening its presence across key business and leisure markets. The hotel will be operated under a management agreement, in line with the company’s asset-light growth approach. It will be the second Royal Orchid & Regenta property in Gwalior and the third in Madhya Pradesh.
The Regenta Gwalior will be developed in two phases. Phase I will include 71 guest rooms along with multiple banquet and event spaces catering to weddings, corporate meetings, and social functions. Phase II will add 30 additional rooms, further enhancing the property’s accommodation capacity.
Commenting on the development, Chander K Baljee, Chairman and Managing Director of Royal Orchid Hotels, said the new hotel is expected to deliver strong value and emerge as a preferred choice for travellers visiting the region. Owned by Hoshiyar Singh Tomar (Oakwood Hotel), the property will serve business travellers, transit passengers, and tourists exploring Gwalior’s cultural and historical attractions. Its proximity to the airport, industrial areas, and landmarks such as Gwalior Fort positions it as a convenient and comfortable hospitality destination.
