RailTel Bags ₹90 Crore ERP Deal for Tamil Nadu Transport

RailTel Corporation of India has secured a work order worth ₹90.08 crore from the Institute of Road Transport for the implementation of an advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The project scope covers the design, development, supply, implementation, operations, and maintenance of the ERP system for the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC). Additionally, the system will support three major state transport entities: Chennai, TNSTC-Coimbatore, and TNSTC-Madurai.

The project is scheduled to be fully completed and operational by October 18, 2026. It is expected to streamline operations, improve resource management, and drive technological efficiency across the transport corporations.

This order further bolsters RailTel’s presence in the IT and digital transformation domain, particularly within critical, state-run transport organizations.
