Purvah Green Power to Acquire 1.4 GW Solar Assets for ₹4,859 Cr

In a landmark move to accelerate its green transition, CESC’s renewable energy subsidiary, Purvah Green Power, has entered into an agreement to acquire a 1.4 GW operational solar portfolio from ReNew Solar Power for a consideration of Rs 4,859 crore.

Comprising six operational solar projects situated in Rajasthan, the transaction is on track to close before October 31. Fully funded by CESC, the acquisition allows Purvah Green Power to bypass lengthy development cycles and immediately scale its footprint. This strategic investment forms a cornerstone of the company’s long-term objective to develop a robust 10 GW renewable energy portfolio, significantly strengthening its market presence in India's clean energy landscape.
