Pune's New Housing Horizon: MHADA's ₹1,161 Cr Tender

The Maharashtra Housing & Area Development Authority (MHADA) has floated a tender for the planning, design, and construction of 8,001 one-BHK dwelling units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) [PMAY(U)] 2.0 scheme.

Each unit will feature a minimum carpet area of 30 sq. metres and is intended for beneficiaries in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category. The project will be developed on a 38.65-acre MHADA-owned site in Rohkal (Chakan), Pune, under the Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) vertical of PMAY(U) 2.0.

The scope of work includes the construction of essential on-site and off-site infrastructure to support the residential development. With a total project cost of ₹1,160.95 crore, the initiative aims to address housing requirements for EWS beneficiaries and further the government’s vision of inclusive and affordable urban housing.

The last date for bid submission is November 24, 2025.
