POWERGRID Powers Up Delhi: New 400 kV Line Commissioned

POWERGRID has successfully commissioned the 400 kV Maharani Bagh–Narela multi-circuit transmission line, significantly strengthening the electricity network in Delhi NCR.

The newly energized line—commissioned in the presence of senior officials including Delhi Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma and POWERGRID CMD Dr. R. K. Tyagi—will ease the burden on existing transmission corridors, enhance grid stability, and ensure reliable power supply during peak demand. The project represents a major infrastructure upgrade supporting the region’s rapidly growing energy requirements.
