PNC Infratech Bags ₹3,488 Crore Gevra Coal Mining Project

PNC Infratech has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) dated August 1, 2025, from South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) for a major mining services contract at the Gevra Open Cast Project (OCP) expansion in Chhattisgarh.

Valued at ₹3,488.86 crore, the contract spans five years and involves comprehensive mining operations, including:

Overburden (OB) removal using Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM)

Coal extraction via surface miners

Loading and transportation of coal to designated delivery points

PNC Infratech emerged as the L1 (lowest) bidder for the project, highlighting its competitive strength in large-scale mining services.

The award underscores SECL’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency at one of India’s largest coal mining sites, as part of efforts to meet the country’s growing energy requirements.
