Persistent x IITKGP: Engineering the Future of Enterprise AI

Persistent Systems has partnered with Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur to establish an AI Innovation Lab, reinforcing its commitment to research-led enterprise artificial intelligence development.

The lab will be housed within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, with the agreement executed through an affiliate of Persistent Systems. The initiative is designed to advance applied AI research, foster talent development, and create scalable AI solutions tailored to evolving industry requirements. It aligns with Persistent’s broader AI-first strategy focused on integrating advanced digital technologies into enterprise environments.

The AI Innovation Lab will concentrate on developing domain-specific solutions across sectors such as healthcare analytics, financial intelligence, and education technology. Equipped with advanced computing infrastructure, the facility will support the design, testing, and deployment of AI models intended for practical, real-world applications.

The collaboration is also expected to strengthen industry-academia engagement by encouraging knowledge sharing, driving innovation, and preparing skilled professionals for emerging technology roles. The initiative is anticipated to contribute to India’s expanding AI ecosystem while accelerating enterprise adoption of next-generation digital solutions.
