Patel Engineering Bags ₹1318 Crore Kondhane Dam Project

Patel Engineering Ltd. (PEL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the Kondhane Dam construction project, awarded by the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO). The contract is valued at ₹1,318.89 crore.

The project entails the construction of the dam and allied works using roller compacted concrete (RCC) technology. Located in Kondhane village, Karjat Taluka, Raigad district (Maharashtra), the project is scheduled for completion within 42 months.

The scope includes extensive civil works for a 1,209-meter-long and 83-meter-high dam, along with hydro-mechanical and electrical works. This covers the installation of three radial gates, electrical and manual gate control systems, and related electrification components to ensure full operational functionality.

Once completed, the Kondhane Dam is expected to play a key role in enhancing regional infrastructure, supporting sustainable water resource management, and driving long-term development in Raigad and nearby areas.
