Odisha Power Transmission Corporation (OPTCL) has floated a tender for a major transmission infrastructure project aimed at improving power evacuation and strengthening grid reliability across Odisha.
The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of a 400 kV double-circuit (DC) transmission line spanning approximately 147.308 km. This line will connect the existing 400/220 kV GIS Grid Substation at Pandiabili to the proposed 400/220 kV Grid Substation at Badakushasthali, Berhampur. Additionally, the project covers the construction of a 220 kV double-circuit loop-in loop-out (LILO) line from the existing 220 kV Therubali–Narendrapur DC line, further enhancing the region’s transmission backbone.
The estimated project value is ₹321.27 crore. Once completed, the Pandiabili–Berhampur transmission corridor will significantly improve power connectivity between Odisha’s central and southern regions.
Bid submission deadline: 20 June, 2025.
