New Heights: GK Energy Takes Solar to the Rooftop

GK Energy, a leading solar pump EPC execution company in India, has announced its strategic entry into the retail solar rooftop system (RTS) EPC segment, marking a significant expansion of its business portfolio.

The move represents a transition from a predominantly product-focused solar pump provider to a comprehensive solar EPC enterprise. This expansion forms part of GK Energy’s long-term diversification strategy to build a scalable, multi-segment solar infrastructure business. It also aligns with the Union Budget’s enhanced allocation for renewable energy under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which has been increased from ₹17,000 crore to ₹22,000 crore. The policy support is expected to drive faster adoption of rooftop solar solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial segments.

Entry into the RTS EPC segment is expected to improve GK Energy’s working capital efficiency and cash flow stability, while ensuring a steady revenue pipeline. By expanding into rooftop solar, the company aims to strengthen financial liquidity and generate recurring revenues, complementing and diversifying its existing EPC portfolio.
