Neemrana Heats Up with Daikin's ₹500 Crore R&D Centre

On April 15, 2025, Daikin India unveiled its third research and development (R&D) centre in Neemrana, Rajasthan. Spanning six acres and backed by a ₹500 crore investment, the new facility features 22 cutting-edge testing laboratories and will employ over 500 engineers. The centre is dedicated to developing innovative HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) solutions tailored for both Indian and global markets.

A key highlight is one of India’s largest air-cooled chiller test labs, boasting a 600-tonne refrigeration capacity. Strategically co-located with Daikin’s Neemrana manufacturing plant, the R&D hub is designed to foster close collaboration between research and production teams—enhancing efficiency and strengthening global competitiveness.

Chairman and Managing Director KJ Jawa emphasized the centre’s strategic significance: “It reflects Daikin’s vision of shaping the future of HVAC and refrigeration through innovation rooted in local insights. This facility aims to not only address the unique needs of Indian consumers but also advance sustainable, environment-friendly technologies for global markets.”
