The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has submitted a draft Detailed Project Report (DPR) to the Haryana government for the proposed Gurugram–Greater Noida Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) corridor.
Estimated at ₹15,000 crore, the project is expected to drastically cut travel times, reducing the commute from IFFCO Chowk to Faridabad to just 22 minutes and to Noida to 38 minutes. The corridor is designed to ease congestion on Delhi’s transport network while improving regional connectivity. It will pass through major hubs such as Sector 54 in Gurugram, Bata Chowk in Faridabad, and Sectors 142/168 in Noida, with six stations planned outside Delhi. However, the final alignment and station locations are still under review.
While NCRTC has proposed an elevated corridor, the Haryana government has suggested an underground stretch within Gurugram due to high land acquisition costs and dense urban development. The project forms part of a wider regional connectivity strategy linking key cities and airports, with several other RRTS corridors awaiting approval. Ongoing consultations will determine the final design and execution plan.
