Nayab Singh Saini has announced that the Haryana government has approved the final alignment of the Gurugram–Faridabad–Noida–Greater Noida Namo Bharat Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS)-cum-Metro Corridor. The decision was taken at a recent government meeting, and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is being finalised. Directions have been issued to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), the central agency tasked with executing the project.
The proposed 64-km corridor, with nearly 52 km located in Haryana, forms part of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Namo Bharat initiative, which aims to connect key economic centres through fast, modern, and safe transit systems. Saini said the project will integrate Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, and Greater Noida into a high-speed regional mobility network, reducing travel time, easing traffic congestion, and promoting environmental sustainability.
In Gurugram, a 14.5-km integrated RRTS–Metro stretch between IFFCO Chowk and Gwal Pahari has been cleared. Major stations will include Sector-29, Millennium City Centre, Sector-52, Wazirabad, Sector-57, and Sector-58/61, offering connectivity to the Delhi Metro Yellow Line, Gurugram Metro, and Rapid Metro networks.
The Faridabad section, spanning around 16 km from Sainik Colony to Badshahpur, will pass through the NIT area, Bata Chowk, Sectors 12–15, and New Faridabad, linking with the Delhi Metro Violet Line. Noise barriers are planned along urban viaduct stretches to reduce sound pollution.
Saini said the project is expected to attract investment, generate employment, and support balanced urban growth across Haryana. The DPR will be finalised at the earliest to ensure timely implementation and deliver world-class public transport infrastructure.
Land Ownership Decision in Yamunanagar
In a separate announcement, the Chief Minister stated that land under Khasra numbers 125, 152, and 134 in Chhachhrauli, Yamunanagar—government-owned since 1887 but recorded as ‘Gair Mumkin Abadi’—will be granted to long-settled residents. Following verification of possession through official records and surveys, ownership rights will be conferred on eligible families, addressing a longstanding demand.
