NBCC (India) Ltd., in collaboration with the University of Delhi, is set to commence construction of a ₹370-crore Hostel-cum-Residential Block at the Dhaka Complex, as part of the Institution of Eminence (IoE) initiative.
The Bhoomi Poojan ceremony was held on 29 September 2025, attended by senior officials from both institutions. Spanning 7.28 acres with a built-up area of 70,000 sq. metres, the project will house over 1,400 students in gender-specific blocks. Accommodation options include single, triple-sharing, married en-suite units, and master apartments.
The residential complex is designed with a strong focus on sustainability and has secured a 3-Star GRIHA rating. Key green features include 55 kWp rooftop solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, 10 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, and integrated solid waste management. The development also includes more than 20% landscaped green areas and parking facilities for over 400 vehicles.
Beyond housing, the facility will support academic and holistic development, featuring libraries, computer labs, dining halls, recreational zones, and amenities for faculty members—significantly enhancing campus life for students and staff alike.
