RRP Defence, through its dedicated arm Vimananu, has partnered with French-American aerospace company CYGR to establish a drone manufacturing facility in Navi Mumbai, advancing India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
The facility will produce cutting-edge drones, including Hand-Launched Fixed Wing Drones, Nano Drones, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Drones.
Rajendra Chodankar, Chairman of RRP Defence, described the collaboration as a milestone for India’s UAV sector:
“By combining our local manufacturing capabilities and on-ground expertise with CYGR’s advanced drone technologies, we’re developing systems tailored to India’s operational requirements.”
George El Aily, Director of CYGR France, highlighted India’s strategic significance:
“India is a vital partner, and we’re bringing our state-of-the-art UAV platforms to meet its growing demand. This partnership goes beyond technology transfer—we’re co-developing future-ready solutions that strengthen India’s defence and surveillance capabilities.”
