NALCO Fast-Tracks 5th Stream Expansion in Koraput

National Aluminium Company (NALCO) leadership recently conducted an on-site review of the ongoing 5th Stream Expansion Project at its M&R Complex in Koraput.

The review was led by Chairman and Managing Director B P Singh along with Director (Projects & Technical) Jagdish Arora. The senior management team assessed key execution milestones, construction progress, and overall project readiness.

The 5th Stream Expansion Project is part of the expansion of NALCO’s Damanjodi Alumina Refinery in Odisha and is aimed at increasing the refinery’s capacity by 1 million tonnes per annum (TPA). The project is expected to strengthen the company’s production capabilities, address growing demand, and enhance its position in the global aluminium market.

The leadership team also reviewed infrastructure developments intended to improve operational efficiency and support long-term sustainable growth. The visit highlights NALCO’s focus on timely project execution, operational excellence, and strategic capacity expansion.
