Morbi 2.0: Crafting a Global Epicenter for Ceramic Excellence

The Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) has inaugurated a new Ceramic Industrial Park at Jambudiya-Paneli, marking a major step forward for India’s tile and ceramic manufacturing sector.

Spread across more than 1,000 acres, the industrial park is designed to position the Morbi–Rajkot belt as a world-class ceramics manufacturing hub, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed and self-reliant India. Strategically located near the Morbi ceramic cluster, the park offers strong connectivity to key logistics infrastructure, including Hirasar International Airport and major ports such as Kandla and Mundra. It will cater to the production of tiles, sanitaryware, and advanced ceramics, while also encouraging investment in high-value and niche ceramic segments.

The park will house several common facilities to support innovation and skill development, including a Common Display Centre, a Centre of Excellence equipped with a NABL-certified laboratory, and a Skill Development Centre to enhance workforce capabilities. To ensure efficient and sustainable operations, the project will also be supported by robust infrastructure such as a 30 MLD water supply system, dedicated power substations, and integrated solid waste management facilities.
