MOIL Invites Bids for ₹159 Crore Kandri Mine Vertical Shaft Project

MOIL has issued a tender for the design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a second vertical shaft at its Kandri Mine in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The project, valued at ₹159 crore, will be executed on a turnkey basis as part of MOIL’s broader strategy to modernize operations and boost manganese ore production efficiency.

The scope of work includes end-to-end engineering services for the design and construction of the vertical shaft, along with the installation of mechanical and electrical systems. The contract also covers furnishing and equipping the shaft with essential mining infrastructure to support enhanced material handling, ventilation, and safety systems.

The Kandri Mine is one of MOIL’s key manganese production sites, and this infrastructure upgrade is expected to play a vital role in expanding capacity and improving operational reliability.

The deadline for bid submission is 28 August 2025.
