MCGM Bids for a 2,000 MLD Water Pumping Station at Bhandup

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) invites bids for the design, construction, and operation of a new 2,000 Million Litres per Day (MLD) clear water pumping station at the Bhandup Complex, under a Design-Build-Operate (DBO) model.

Scope of Work:

The project involves comprehensive civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works. Key components include:

Supply, installation, and commissioning of all ancillary pipelines, fittings, accessories, and jointing hardware.

Construction of rising mains encased in Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC), with RCC thrust blocks provided where necessary as per design.

Construction of RCC valve chambers at all valve locations outside the pumping station.

Interconnection of the new mains with existing infrastructure.

Deployment of pipe jacking techniques for laying rising mains where required.

This initiative is aimed at significantly improving Mumbai’s water distribution infrastructure, ensuring enhanced reliability, operational efficiency, and future-readiness.
