British defence manufacturer Martin-Baker is expanding its footprint in India with a proposed ₹380 crore manufacturing plant in Karnataka. Following talks with Industries Minister MB Patil, the firm requested 10 acres in Harohalli Industrial Area Phase 5, with prompt land allotment expected.
The project promises 500+ direct jobs for skilled engineers and technicians, building on Martin-Baker’s existing supply presence across Indian military aircraft. Meanwhile, domestic defence tech provider Tonbo Imaging is seeking 135 total acres across Bengaluru ITIR and Vijayapura to scale its high-power microwave manufacturing and testing infrastructure.
