Make in India, Fly in India: The Adani-Embraer Regional Jet Revolution

Adani Group and Brazilian aviation major Embraer have announced a strategic partnership to establish a regional aircraft manufacturing facility in India, marking a significant step toward strengthening the country’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities.

The collaboration aims to improve air connectivity to Tier-II and Tier-III cities while positioning India as an important hub for regional aircraft production. As part of the agreement, a final assembly line (FAL) will be set up in India to assemble Embraer’s regional aircraft. The initiative will feature progressive technology transfer, skill development, and the creation of a strong domestic aerospace supply chain.

Embraer, a global leader in commercial aircraft with seating capacities of up to 150 passengers, will work closely with Adani Defence & Aerospace on the project. For Adani Group, the partnership represents a major milestone as it enters the aircraft manufacturing space.

The announcement comes amid rapid growth in India’s civil aviation sector, driven by rising passenger demand and increased focus on regional connectivity.
