Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that the state government will introduce seven new industrial policies in the coming months, targeting key sectors such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, and footwear, with the objective of accelerating economic growth.
The announcement was made after he inaugurated the International Business Conclave at Advantage Vidarbha 2026 in Nagpur, organised by the Association for Industrial Development (AID). Highlighting Vidarbha’s rapid development, Fadnavis said Maharashtra is among the fastest-growing states in the country.
“Here in Maharashtra, memorandums of understanding are not merely signed on paper—they are implemented on the ground,” he said, underscoring the government’s focus on converting investment commitments into tangible projects.
The proposed industrial policies are expected to further strengthen Maharashtra’s position as a leading destination for business and manufacturing, particularly across emerging and high-growth sectors.
