Lightstorm Bags ₹2,500 Crore for AI Fibre Expansion

Network infrastructure provider Lightstorm has secured a ₹2,500 crore debt facility from IndusInd Bank to accelerate the development of AI-focused connectivity infrastructure across India.

The 10-year fully underwritten facility will support Lightstorm’s next phase of expansion, including the development of dedicated AI fibre highways connecting major data centre clusters and emerging hyperscale AI zones across the country.

The funding follows Lightstorm’s plans for the I-2SEA subsea cable system, which will connect India with Singapore and Malaysia. The subsea network is expected to strengthen the connectivity backbone supporting AI data centres across India and Southeast Asia.
