JSW Cement's $11,000 Cr. Power Play: Doubling Capacity to 41 MT

JSW Cement, a part of the JSW Group, plans to invest ₹11,000 crore over the next three years as it aims to double its production capacity to 41 million tonnes (mt) from the current 20 mt.

Managing Director Parth Jindal told businessline that the company has already added 1 mt of capacity in Odisha since its IPO, and a major expansion in Rajasthan is underway, expected to be completed by January 2026. “By the end of this fiscal, we will be a 25-million-tonne company. We plan to reach 41 million tonnes by 2028, then 60 mt thereafter,” he said.

The expansion will be driven through a mix of organic and inorganic growth. JSW Cement plans to set up a new facility in Central India—covering Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh—with an additional 6 mt of capacity. The remaining 10 mt will be added across existing sites in Dolvi (Maharashtra), Vijayanagar (Karnataka), and Talwandi Sabo (Punjab), Jindal added.
