Jaipur Metro Line 1 Set for Full Launch by April 2028

The Rajasthan government has set March–April 2028 as the target for making the entire Jaipur Metro Line 1 operational, advancing efforts to improve connectivity across the city.

Jaipur Metro Railway Corporation Chairman and Managing Director Vaibhav Galriya said the Mansarovar–200 Feet Bypass Crossing stretch is the immediate priority and is expected to open by June 2027. Meanwhile, tunnel boring operations have commenced on the underground section between Galta Gate and Badi Chaupar, with excavation expected to be completed within five to six months.

The ongoing works are aimed at completing the remaining sections and establishing metro connectivity between southwest Jaipur and the northeastern transport corridor through the city centre.
