IRCON International has secured a civil works contract worth ₹458.14 crore from North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) for the Tato-I Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The Letter of Acceptance (LoA) covers Package-I, which includes construction of key hydro infrastructure such as headworks, intake systems, tunnels, surge and pressure shafts, powerhouse, and associated works. The project is scheduled for completion in 45 months.
This contract reinforces IRCON’s growing presence in the Northeast and aligns with national efforts to boost hydroelectric capacity. It follows the company’s earlier March 2025 success—bagging an ₹872.69 crore railway infrastructure project in Madhya Pradesh through its joint venture with SSNR Projects, involving tunnel construction and track laying for a 198-km electrified broad-gauge rail line.
