InterGlobe and CAE Launch New Pilot Training Centre in Mumbai

InterGlobe Enterprises, in partnership with Canadian flight simulation leader CAE, is set to establish a new pilot training centre in Mumbai to meet the rapidly growing demand for skilled cockpit crew in India.

The facility will be developed through their joint venture, CAE Simulation Training Private Limited (CSTPL), and will span 44,000 sq. ft. Designed to house up to six full-flight simulators, the centre is expected to become operational in the first quarter of 2026. It will launch with two Airbus A320 simulators and gradually expand to include training modules for Boeing and ATR aircraft.

The centre will offer a full range of aviation training programmes, including type rating, recurrent training, and proficiency checks—equipping pilots with the capabilities needed to operate across multiple aircraft platforms.

CSTPL currently operates three training centres in Greater Noida, Gurugram, and Bengaluru, collectively housing 23 full-flight simulators.

“The new Mumbai centre expands CSTPL’s capacity to meet the surging demand for professional pilots in India,” said Michel Azar-Hmouda, Division President at CAE.
